She is an architect and researcher who graduated in 2012 from the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at dARQ-UCoimbra & CIEG/ISCSP-University of Lisbon, researching “Women in the SAAL Process (1974-1976) in Portugal: Women Techniques and Residents for the Right to Housing” (funded by FCT). Her PhD project was awarded the MAXQDA #ResearchForChange 2024 Women Empowerment prize. Her main interests include the History of Portuguese Architecture, the roles of women—both architects and non-architects—in designing and negotiating the built environment, and the climate crisis from a gender perspective.

She is a co-founder of the Women in Architecture Association (Mulheres na Arquitectura, Portugal). Among other initiatives, they organized the short course “Earth as Home: Ecofeminism and Space” (2022-2023), an independent project of the Lisbon Architecture Triennial 2022 (funded by DGArtes+CIG), which explored the connection between the climate crisis and gender. She was a consultant for the European project URBINAT: Urban Innovative and Inclusive Nature (2018-2024) and has been a member of the Rede H (Housing Network), El Collective (a scientific and artistic group on climate change), and the Network of Women Guardians of Nature in Serra da Estrela (Business as Nature project) since 2023. In architectural practice, she works on designing and constructing houses, museums, and exhibitions. She was part of the team led by Catalonian museographer Elisabet Carceller that designed the Covilhã Museum’s project, which won the Museum of the Year 2022 award from Acesso Cultura.
